The results of studies on phytoremediation of soils contaminated with petroleum products, using three mixtures of lawn grasses. The experiment was conducted in laboratory and field conditions. In a laboratory experiment were determined for biometric indices and mass plants grass seed mixtures, measured oil content in soil before and after phytoremediation works, as well as in the process of self-purification in the absence of plants. All grass seed mixtures at low concentrations of petroleum products in soil (40-2000 mg/kg) have approximately the same resistance. When the concentration of petroleum products in soil in excess of 2000 mg/kg of drought-resistant grass seed mixture appeared to be the most sustainable. A significant decrease in the content of oil products in the soil when used for remediation of soil turfgrass in the laboratory. In terms of self-purification, the concentration of petroleum products in the soil during the first 10 days decreases by 63-72% in samples with initial concentrations of 5000 petroleum products - 1000 mg/kg. In the next 20 days there has been a slight decrease in the concentration of petroleum products. In soil samples with an initial concentration of 10000 mg/kg petroleum products content is reduced by 41%. Phytoremediation with the use of lawn grasses are more effective in comparison with self-cleaning capacity of the soil without the use of plants to concentrations of petroleum products 1000-5000 mg/kg. the maximum decrease in the concentration of petroleum products in the soil 82-96% is observed when used for phytoremediation of drought-resistant grass seed mixtures. In a field experiment were used drought-tolerant grass seed mixture. Was observed lower efficacy of the phytoremediation works in field conditions compared to laboratory. The petroleum products content in the urban soil resulting from the phytoremediation works decreased 6-33% during the month.
