Using hydrodynamics model to simulate effectiveness of granular gels to plug fracture

Бесплатный доступ

The ultimate goal of this paper is to simulate a mathematical modeling of granular water swellable gelswhich be used in mature oil fields to plug high permeable zone or fracture. This model modified by correlating screen test results with fracture experiment results so that the apparent consistency constant and the apparent flow index obtained from screen tests were introduced to replace the consistency constant and flow index from general power law equation to calculate pressure gradient and effective viscosity along the fracture. The simulation was performed with the use of hydrodynamic simulation Nimezida 2014. The results showed the effectiveness of the technology application of granular gels.
