Using SWOT analysis tools to ensure the economic security of the enterprise

This article analyzes the possibilities of identif ying risk factors using SWOT analysis. This allowed the authors to assess both the conditions of the changing macro- and micro-environment of enterprises, and to identify their weaknesses in order to ensure economic security. The objects of the SWOT analysis were LLC «HARMS» and JSC «Sorbent», operating in the same industry : the chemical industry, but different in size and market share. As a result, potential threats to both enterprises were identified and ways to eliminate them were proposed. Increasing the competitiveness and streng thening the position of economic security of the studied enterprises can be achieved through the use of modern environmentally oriented technologies for the production of products in demand by the market.
