The article examines the effectiveness of using intelligence maps as a modern method of teaching vocabulary of a foreign language. The principles of operation of intelligence maps, their advantages in the formation of lexical skills, as well as the possibility of application at various stages of learning are described. The study compares intelligence maps with traditional teaching methods such as memorization, translation, and contextual learning, with an emphasis on student engagement, memory effectiveness, and cognitive skills development.
