The distribution and variation of magnetic susceptibility () in soil profiles of a paleocryogenic complex of the Tula area is investigated. In the formation of highly magnetic minerals the significant role of organic substance, and also redoks-processes is revealed. It is shown, that within constant depths varies only slightly in the upper part of the and in fossil soil and significantly - in subhumic part of modern chernozem. The revealed distinctions in spatial variability of sizes in many respects are connected with presence paleocryogenic processes which create different conditions for existence of ferriferous minerals.
