Using public-private partnership mechanisms in the development of single-industry towns

The article examines the use of public-private partnership (PPP) mechanisms in the development of single-industry towns as tools for overcoming regional disparities and stimulating sustainable economic growth. An analysis of existing PPP models, their advantages and limitations, as well as their impact on the development of infrastructure, social sphere and entrepreneurship in single-industry towns is conducted. Particular attention is paid to the problem of financial dependence of regions on federal transfers and possible ways to increase their independence by attracting private investment. The results of the study are conclusions about the need to expand the use of PPP to create favorable conditions for the development of regions, increase the efficiency of resource management and improve the investment climate. Key areas for further development of PPP mechanisms to ensure the integrated development of single-industry towns are identified.
