The use of benchmarking methods in the formation of a strategy for the development of the agricultural industry in Russia

Like any other branch of the economy, agriculture has its own peculiarities of development and problems, which are conditioned by political, historical, cultural, demographic, technological and other factors that make it possible to distinguish, isolate economically developed and developing countries in the coordinate system. Successful dynamic development of agriculture is ensured only when sustainable reproduction is achieved, both in general and in each of its structural branches. As a solution to this problem, it is proposed to consider mechanisms for increasing the independence of agricultural organizations. In this regard, it is advisable to consider the role of benchmarking as a special tool through which a rural area can systematically carry out self-assessment and comparison with the immediate and macro environment in market conditions, which will contribute to improving the characteristics of products and services produced in it, improving the level and quality of life of the population.
