The use of international practices of life standards assessment in Russian regions

The author considers numerous assessment indices of living standards used by international community as to how they can be used to assess living standards in Russia. Partially, these indices are already being used for analysis for regional comparison. Extending the range of estimates and standard units may further improve the quality of studying living standards throughout the country.
