This scientific article is devoted to the study of the specifics of using visualization in working with students with intellectual disabilities in the geography lesson. The author of the article, in the course of substantiating the problem, considers visual teaching tools used in a special (correctional) educational institution at geography lessons, and also describes their role in the formation of geographical concepts and knowledge in students with mental retardation.
