Using the corset reference specimens for fatigue tests carrying out and smooth reference specimens for residual stresses in a surface layer determination has been substantiated for the evaluation of parts cementation influence (thermo chemical processing). The calculations of the study have been carried out by the Finite Elements Modeling method using the calculation complexes ANSYS and PATRAN/NASTRAN. It is established that distribution of axial residual stresses in the dangerous (smollest) section of corset specimen practically does not differ from distribution in smooth specimen. It was determined that by the received results of average integral residual stresses on which distributions for smooth specimen can be used for assessment the endurance strength of the hardened corset specimen. The most optimum modes of cementation will be those modes at which average integral residual stresses will be the greatest.
