The article presents the results of field and scientific research on the regime and use of groundwater in the Southern Aral Sea region. In the region, fresh groundwater resources are limited and there is an acute shortage of quality drinking water. Artificial replenishment of groundwater reserves during biological self-purification of water from pollutants, ensuring the needs of the population year-round in drinking water.
