The use of special knowledge in investigation of crimes related to violation of traffic rules and operation of vehicles, committed by drivers in a state of intoxication

Objective: To uncover issues use of expertise (knowledge) in the investigation of road traffic offences. Methodology: Formal-legal and comparative methods, analysis, synthesis were used. Results: The article reveals the relevance of the use of special knowledge (cognition) in the investigation of road traffic offences, the distinction between the concepts of expertise and special knowledge in criminal procedure legislation and legal literature, application of special knowledge in investigation of crimes on violation of traffic rules and operation of vehicles, committed by drivers in a state of intoxication. Novelty/Originality/Value: Based on the scientific doctrine, analysis, investigative practice of investigation of crimes related to violation of traffic rules and operation of vehicles, committed by drivers in a state of intoxication, the features of special knowledge are definied.
