Use of special knowledge in the disclosure of the theft of motor vehicles

Introduction: theft of vehicles is a common type of crime, while the process of disclosing, investigating and preventing these illegal acts has a number of problematic issues, in particular, related to the formation of a solid evidence base in criminal cases. In most cases, the preliminary investigation authorities have to indict theft of vehicles without the purpose of theft, since the process of proving theft of vehicles is extremely difficult, requires a strong evidence base, which is practically impossible in practice. Materials and methods: the normative basis of the research is formed by the Constitution of the Russian Federation, criminal and criminal procedural legislation. The methodological basis of the study was the general dialectical method of scientific knowledge, which is universal in nature, as well as cognitive methods and techniques of observation, comparison, analysis, generalization and description.
