Study of anthropometric and heart rate variability features in firefighters

Бесплатный доступ

Anthropometric parameters and heart rate variability (HRV) were evaluated in 240 firefighters (age 25 - 47 years) emergency department of the Tver region. Two groups identified by somatic profile, 23% of them - with normosthenic profile and 77% - with hypersthenic profile. High body mass index provoked stress of adaptation mechanisms of the organism in hypersthenic profile group. The optimal level of regulation of body established by the stress index and spectral analysis of HRV was found in only 18% of the firefighters. Standalone trophotropic control loop with insufficient level prevailed in 47% of the examined people. Central ergotropic control loop with signs of stress was detected in 35% of the examined people. Symptom of the stabilization and optimization of regulatory mechanisms were identified at the stage of the professional development, while symptoms of the imbalance were identified at the stage of the high level of professional skills.
