Based on the analysis of remote field and satellite measurements of agricultural crops spectral brightness during vegetation period, the possibility was demonstrated of estimating the structural changes in the near infrared zone (. = 760 . 820 nm) of the plants of the crops being studied. The electronic data base was made containing the corrected spectral brightness data of the studied agricultural crops. It was shown that the dynamics of spectral brightness values reflects the pattern of morphophysiological changes in the crops during their vegetation period. The lack or excess of moisture in plants leads to structural changes in plant phytoelements, which has a considerable effect on their reflectance, especially in the near infrared spectrum region. This trend was observed simultaneously for all studied fields during the period of research. It was stated that, with regard to the classes singled out, it is possible to use subtle spectral differences for studying spatial distribution and ecological state of various types of vegetation. It was shown that the distinguished contrasts can be effectively used for getting useful information when processing satellite images that have a high level of natural interference (alteration of atmosphere optical thickness, cloudiness, alteration of scanner viewing angle, sun height variation, high inhomogeneity of underlying surface).
