Investigation of the formation of strong electric fields in the copper-doped lithium niobate crystals

The results of investigations for the formation dynamics of space charge field of a photorefractive hologram by two laser beams with a wavelength of 532 nm in the X-cut LiNbO 3: Cu crystals are presented. From the data on the diffraction efficiency of holograms readable by a laser beam with a wavelength of 655 nm, it was found that the amplitude of the first spatial harmonics of the electric field of the hologram in the samples obtained by the diffusion doping can reach the values ??exceeding 17 kV / cm.
