Field research the mountain fortification construction «Sve Sulek hillfort» in Khakassia

The archaeological group of the Khakass state university investigated a mountain fortification construction «Sulek hillfort». The archaeological monument is located in the North of Republic Khakassia. On various plots of territory Sve has been incorporated three digs by a total area 110 м2. Well kept sites of the stone wall combined from large plates of sandstone by a method of a dry laying are revealed. At analysis of showered stones of a laying of a wall fragments of ceramics are found out: nimbuses, walls and bases of vessels. The ceramics is dated late tagar time. From material finds - iron knife with a ring. In territory dig № 3 also it is investigated late medieval a burial place dated by the period of Russian presence at Khakassia. Burial is accomplished in a stone barrow yurt forms which is closely attached to a wall of a monument. Inside of a barrow the disturbed burial of the adult person is revealed. In situ the skeleton of the person extended on a back, by a head on the west is tracked. Subjects of accompanying stock are found: an ornament and handbell from the bronze, two fragments of the cut horn wild goat, a lead bullet, bone spindle ware. Under a laying of a barrow numerous fragments tagar ceramics what is stratigraphy the proof of existence of a stone wall are found Sulek hillfort during an epoch of the early Iron Age. Archaeological researches on Sve have shown the important scientific value of a monument for studying history early nomads cultures of Southern Siberia.
