In this article present the results of research and assessment of acute toxicity and cumulative properties of nanodispersed aluminum oxide at oral intake. Dynamic laser light scattering and scanning electron microscopy showed that the studied sample of aluminum oxide is a nanomaterial with a particle size in the ranges of 58-100 nm and 30-40 nm, respectively. In the study of acute toxicity, it was established that nanodispersed alumina have the 4th class of danger and, with relatively to the microdispersed analogue, a more pronounced toxic effect, which appear itself in morphological changes in the lymph nodes and stomach in animals expose by nanomaterial. With repeated oral intake, it has been established that nano-dispersed alumina have a material cumulation, accumulating in the brain and liver in concentrations exceeding this index in animals exposed to micromaterial by 1.23 and 1.41 times, respectively, and by functional cumulation, causing more pronounced morphological changes in the digestive organs, spleen and liver, relative to the comparison group animals. The obtained results should be considered when developing preventive measures for producers and consumers of products containing aluminum oxide nanoparti-cles.
