Studying efficacy of hirudotherapy as assessed by results of autodermopla sty in experimental diabetes mellitus animals

Comparative assessment was performed on rats aimed at studying influence of «piyavit» liniment on wounds healing. gauze bandages which were moistured by this liniment were used in preoperative period. the efficacy of the liniment was established which was expressed by decreased terms of preoperative preparation, improved short- and long-term results. the liniment «piyavit» is demonstrated to decrease cellular infiltration of wounds, accelerates forming granulating tissue which contributes to accelerated healing of wounds as compared to controls.
