It is noted that one of the ways to increase the efficiency of operation and expand the scope of asynchronous electric drives is to improve their testing systems. At the same time, the efficiency of electric drives is increased through the development and implementation of new circuits. The article analyzes the process of testing electric machines by the method of mutual loading, where an asynchronous machine is used as a load. The known schemes of mutual loading of asynchronous machines are considered, classified according to the method of transferring electricity from the load machine to the test motor – through a direct current link or an alternating current network. For the considered circuits, a method is proposed to increase energy efficiency by jointly regulating the frequency of the alternating voltage and its effective value applied to the stator winding of the loading machine. To study the effectiveness of the loss reduction method, a simulation model has been developed in the SimInTech dynamic modeling environment. The results of simulation modeling on machines of various capacities showed a significant reduction in power losses, which reduces the load on the power grid and reduces the cost of implementing and operating such test systems.
