Research of friction coefficient on fluoroplastic - 4 with different quality of surface treatment

The article describes the research results of friction coefficient with tribocontact fluoroplastic - 4 and steel 12Х18Н10Т. The aim of this work was to recreate the tribocontact of fluoroplastic - 4 and 12Х18Н10Т steel in the end seal of the main cavity of the oxidizer supply of the «Союз» rocket launcher and study the coefficient of friction of this pair. We used tribometer CSM Instruments and profilometer Surtronic 25 for the experiments. The result of the study was the derivation of the friction coefficient dependences on the surface roughness when using the lubricant ЦИАТИМ - 205 and without it. Also, the number of cycles of «mashing» was found, which was 5.
