The study of the communicative competence in the context of social development types

The article poses the question about the research of communicative competence on the basis of the idea of social development represented by the types of society. The author presents the results of the analysis reviewing sociological theories that describe the features of social interaction at different stages of the social development. The methodological conclusions relevant for organization of the research of communicative competence of a person are also provided in the paper.
