This paper presents the results of studies of the effect of layered direction of the laser weld (selective laser melting - SLM) for machining the samples of stainless steel 316L. Delivering a series of experimental studies to determine the cutting forces generated during machining. The results of measurements of the microhardness grown samples of stainless steel 316L. The experimental data are constructed according to the cutting forces on the speed, depth of cut and feed. Dependencies are obtained using regression models, linking efforts with cutting process parameters. Analysis and discussion of the experimental results.
