Increasing the production of corn grains requires improving mechanized technologies for the domestic seed production system, which ensure a high production culture. This is achieved by using a container method for moving cobs, drying them with small volumes in protective ventilated containers and implementing step-by-step threshing with multi-channel sets of technical means equipped with adaptive working elements capable of differentiating the intensity of force action on grain. In the Russian Federation, corn is cultivated in 27 regions, domestic seed plants capable of processing at least 5500 tons of cobs of Russian breeding should effectively operate here in one season. In this case, the need for seeds without purchases from abroad is completely closed. Seed plants must be equipped with eight-module cob dryers in containers, where each module must hold at least 64 containers of 300-350 kg of cobs each. The design of the containers should allow them to be easily moved within the process lines by means of small-sized transport and loading means. Threshing of cobs with sampling from containers shall be carried out with three-channel sets of technical means of step-by-step threshing with input flow intensity of up to 22 containers per hour and throughput capacity of each channel of at least 10 containers per hour, the probability that all three channels are underloaded or overloaded will be less than 10%, the length of the queue of containers will not exceed 3 pieces, and the probability of failure of the system to accept containers for processing will be no more than 6%. As a result, continuous operation of the equipment used will be ensured, mixing of hybrid lines will be avoided, and the amount of macro- and microdamage of grain will be minimized.
