Research problems of youth employment in regional labour market

The article presents the research results obtained in the framework of research work «Prevention of youth unemployment in the border regions of Latvia and Belarus in conditions of economic recovery», conducted by the specialists of Vitebsk State Technological University (Republic of Belarus) with the financial support of the Belarusian Republican Foundation for Fundamental Research. The paper assesses the condition of youth labor market of the Republic of Belarus in Vitebsk region based on statistical data. In particular, the authors conducted a demographic measurement of demand on regional youth labor market; estimated the volume of youth employment resources, the level of economic activity of young people; the level of dynamics and structure of youth employment; conducted of level, structure and dynamics of youth unemployment in the region. It revealed the development trends of the youth labor market and determine the direction of its regulation.
