Spatial and temporal correlation between fires during 2002-2005 fire seasons and lightning strikes in Eastern Siberia is analyzed. A method for determination of lightning-caused fires using remote sensing data is developed. Ratios between the number of lightning-caused fires and latitude/month during fire season were developed.
