Investigation of polyamide-6 solution for nanofibrous web by electrospinning technique

The objective of the investigation was determination of influence of composition of the polyamide-6 solution on physical and chemical properties. The list of the requirements to polymers solutions for electrospinning was defined. As a results of experiments series it was determined the effect of the type polyamide-6 granulate and its concentration on the surface tension, kinematic and dynamic viscosity and electrical conductivity of the solution. The formic acid was used as solvent. Results of the investigation were used as a base for solution preparing for electrospinning on Nano Spider machine NSLAB (Elmarco). The measurement results obtained fibrous web showed that the analyzed electrospinning technique allows obtaining nanoscale fibers, since the fibres thickness of was less than 100 nm with proper selection of the composition of the solution and the parameters of the molding process.
