The possibility of modification of bitumen by lignin from waste of the Selenginsky pulpand-paper plant as a component of composite material improving its properties bitumen considered. Introduction of a filler from 2 to 10 mass. % considerably changes properties of bitumen and surpasses analogs in a number of rheological indicators. The obtained data confirm existence of positive technical effect of application of lignin-containing waste as a modifier of residual bitumens for properties improvement. The created bitumen - polymeric composite material allows changing rheological properties of bitumen binder used in construction.
