A study of some psychological parameters in athletes involved in athletics

On the basis of analysis and generalization of literary data and results of the study, the article presents the materials concerning the question of studying the values of personal and situational anxiety, gender identification of personality type have athletes involved in weightlifting and powerlifting. The data indicators of gender identity and anxiety levels in the groups studied. Described revealed the ways gender values and their relationship with certain types of precompetitive anxiety in athletes in both groups.
