Investigation of a slotted machine for precise seeding with digital control of seed supply

Corn in Russia occupies a significant place among the cultivated agricultural crops. It is widely used in various sectors of the national economy and every year the need for corn production increases. To solve the problem of increasing corn production in the country, it is necessary to improve cultivation technologies and mechanization tools that implement these technologies. The quality of sowing forms qualitative and quantitative indicators of the future harvest. Therefore, the study and creation of new sowing machines is an urgent task of modern science. The paper presents the results of an experimental study of the developed slot dispenser for individual sowing of row crops. The research uses methods of mathematical statistics and experimental planning. An original stand has been developed for laboratory testing. There has been conducted a multifactorial experiment to obtain empirical dependences on the speed of seed preparation for dosing and the stability of the process of preparing seeds for dosing, depending on the pressure in the seed chamber of the apparatus, the width of the slot and the coefficient of friction of the edge of the feeding disk of the apparatus on the seed. There have been revealed the dependences of the seed supply by a slotted pneumatic overpressure machine when dosing corn seeds on the main factors affecting the dosing process, and the rational parameters of the operation of a slotted pneumatic overpressure machine. The introduction of a slotted pneumatic overpressure machine will expand the functionality of the seeding operation, as it becomes possible to coordinate the placement of seeds on the surface of the field. This provides an incentive for the development of precision agriculture in Russia, the introduction of digital technologies and precision positioning systems in agricultural operations, research in the field of crop area optimization, research in the field of soil quality assessment and plant development conditions, the introduction of tools for statistical analysis and planning the effectiveness of crop production.
