Investigation of latitudinal peculiarities in generation of wave packets by solar terminator in longitutinal region of America during 2008

Solar terminator (ST) is a regular recurrent natural phenomenon, and some properties such as globality and extension make it a meaningful source of disturbances in the ionosphere and attract a special attention of researchers. We present the results of observation of wave packets (WP) in the total electron content over the territory of North America (30-50° N, 225-300° E) and South America (10° N - 40° S, 250-350° E). Peculiarities in generation of wave packets by ST in the morning and evening hours are considered. The investigations were made for different regions of the world from 2008 data to reveal latitudinal peculiarities in generation of wave disturbances in different seasons. For midlatitudes, the association between the time of WP recording and the time of ST passage in magnetoconjugate region was found. For equatorial latitudes, this association was not revealed.
