Research of social activity of students

The article presents the author's interpretation of the concept of "social activity of students"; competences are determined to ensure the readiness and ability of a student for the realization of social activity; the study provides the data on student self-assessment of competences of social activity and involvement in social meaningful activity for its implementation. The peculiarities of social activity of students and teachers' ways to influence the process have been pointed out on this basis.
