Investigation of a method for drainage of a pit and a drainage scheme with a phased increase in the depth of the Muruntau pit

To date, mining operations at the Muruntau and Mutenbay deposits are carried out in an open pit using the combined open pit of Muruntau and Mutenbai. The Muruntau Mine (Mine M) is located in the Northern side of the Muruntau open-pit mine. Muruntau is one of the largest gold deposits in the world. Since the beginning of operation, more than 1.5 billion tons of ore have been mined here. At the moment, the depth of the quarry (stage IV) is about 570 m.
