Research of the structure and degree of development the Russian hydropower potential

The paper presents the results of a study of the structure of the hydropower potential of Russia, the distribution of which across the territory of the European part, Siberia and the Far East is sharply uneven. One of the conditions for the prospective development of hydropower potential is to obtain data on its structure and the degree of development in the regional and interregional power systems of Russia. The numerical results of the study show that the technical hydropower potential of Russia can be about 220 GW and 900 billion kWh of electricity generation per year.
