The mercury total content in bottom sediments and some bodies of beach clams at middle waterflow of Ural river near Orenburg city is investigated. In bottom sediments excess of the ecological standard for mercury by 280 times is revealed. Uneven distribution of toxicant in bodies of mollusks is noted: the maximum contents is defined in hepatopancreas, minimum – in "foot", that apparently is defined by unequal metabolitic activity of these tissues.
