Study of the level of tissue fluid disinfecting activity in patients with chronic osteomyelitis

Six patients with chronic osteomyelitis have been examinated, 18 samples of tissue fluid have been investigated in dynamics (on 2nd-3rd, 7th and 14th postoperative day) using the modified method of tissue disinfecting activity determination. While analyzing the data obtained it has been demonstrated that low level of tissue fluid disinfecting activity in a part of patients is observed on 2nd-3rd and even on 7th postoperative day; and, according to the laboratory data on 14th day after surgery the level of tissue disinfecting activity increases significantly in 100% of the patients being examined. The results are consistent with the data in literature showing that marked decrease of immunogenesis functional activity is halted by 14 postoperative day, tissue fluid disinfecting activity sharply increases in the segment damaged
