Study of influence of alloying elements on strength and thermal resistance of electric engineering aluminum alloys

In the article a comparison analysis of Zr, Fe and rare-earth metals (REM) influence on the structure and properties of deformable semi-finished products from aluminium alloys was investigated. It was established that to achieve properties of wire rod, demanded by ASTM B941- 05, the less Zr content is needed in compare with REM. High temperature experiments of Al-Zr-Fe и Al-REM alloys were performed to find more perspective alloying elements for the heat resistant wire production.
