In connection with the need to produce diesel fuels that meet the modern requirements, an urgent need to modify their anti-wear properties. Currently, the production of diesel fuels is associated with the tightening requirements on a variety of parameters, including the presence of sulfur-containing compounds, aromatic hydrocarbons and others. On the one hand reduction of these compounds reduces the harmful effects of exhaust gases of vehicles on the environment, on the other - can have a negative impact on lubricity of diesel fuel. To compensate for the negative effect on the lubricity in diesel fuel include anti-wear additives which are present are generally oxygenated compounds. We have studied the lubricity representatives oxygenates - ortho-phthalate ester and a boiling temperature which correlate with boiling range of diesel fuels. These studies found a positive effect on lubricity esters, and with increasing molecular weight of the esters investigated, as well as their content in the test diesel amplified positive effect.
