The advantages and disadvantages of the main ways of cutting used in harvesting and stamping shops for getting flat blanks of aluminium are considered in the article. We have investigated the influence of milling, shear cutting, laser layout on the crack formation of the workpiece after bending tool die. Recommendations for improving the technological properties of the workpiece in order to reduce crack formation for metal-forming processes are given.
