Influence of wastewaters of textile factory to the microorganisms at biological wastewater treatment facilities

We used mesosaprobic organisms-indicators Spirostomum ambiguum and Paramaecium caudatum to assess the toxicity of wastewaters of the textile factory. To do so we studied the influence of main types of industrial wastewaters and electrochemical processes of water treatment on the chosen species. Electrocemically purified rinse waters do not inhibit the microorganisms. The highly concentrated wastewaters can not be purified by the microorganisms alone without the preliminary purification by other methods.
