Investigation of the effect of temperature and depth of discharge on the operation of lead-acid batteries

The study is devoted to the analysis of the influence of ambient temperature and discharge depth on the characteristics of lead-acid batteries. The analysis of the dependence of the relative capacity, service life and number of discharge cycles on these parameters is carried out. Methods for solving problems associated with a decrease in the characteristics of batteries under adverse temperature conditions and deep discharges are proposed. The use of thermal insulation and electrolyte heating is proposed to optimize the operation of batteries in various climatic conditions. The results obtained can be used to improve the efficiency, reliability and service life of lead-acid batteries in various applications.
