Research of the influence of flax growth conditions on the quality properties of flax straw and the results of its processing

The investigation of different sorts of flax, culti­vated in the Vitebsk area of agriculture was carried out on the basis of “Dubrovno flax plant.” The influ­ence of different counts and sorts of flax straw on fibers output was investigated. The comparison of the domestic and foreign sorts of flax has been done. The chemical analyses of bast bundle tissues from flax straw of different counts has been made. The depen­dency of the duration of retting of different sorts of flax straw on the yield and the quality of flax fibers has been defined. The results will help reduce the amount of low numbers flax in the total production, what is an actual problem for the domestic agricul­tural enterprises.
