The opportunity of application of the data received from satellite SPOT-4 for vegetation areas decoding damaged by fires is considered. For the self-descriptiveness data analysis of a vegetative cover, 2, 3 and 4 channels of spectroradiometer HRVIR were used. Using software package Erdas Imagine of thematic image processing, the model of the normalized differential vegetative index calculation as a result is presented, spectral signatures are constructed and the vegetation area damaged by fires is estimated.
