Study of possibilities of application of non-parametric criteria in the problem of detecting circuits on images disturbed by pulse interference

The article is devoted to image processing in vision systems. In the problems of image segmentation, an important place is occupied by the issues of isolating (detecting) the contours of objects located on them. Earlier assessments and studies of the possibilities of applying the nonparametric Wilcoxon criterion for the algorithm for selecting contours in images distorted by intense noise with a continuous distribution law have shown its high efficiency. However, there may be pulsed noise in the images. At the same time images under various conditions are affected by impulse noise. In this regard, this paper presents the results of studies of the use of a nonparametric criterion for isolating circuits under conditions of exposure to images of pulsed noise.
