Research of sound iconicity in Permic languages: problems and perspectives article two

Бесплатный доступ

The planned series of works consists of three articles devoted to the research of sound iconicity in the Permic languages. In the second article the analysis of existing in Finno-Ugric linguistics classifications of the iconic words in the Permic (Komi [Komi-Zyrian]; Komi-Permyak, Komi-Yazva, Udmurt) languages in the field of acoustic and unacoustic denotate is presented. In the article problems relating to the research of onomatopoeia and sound symbolism in Permistics are formulated. The review of the works of the Permic languages shows that none of the carriers of phonetic value (acoustic sign, type of phoneme, phonestema, etc.) except the word has not been the subject of a special research. On the data of the Permic languages the carriers of phonetic value (voice symbolism of vowels i/а, suffixes -тор, -пи, etc.) are examined.
