The materials on the history of the Kuibyshev biological station, on the basis of which in 1983 the Institute of ecology of the Volga basin of RAS, celebrating its 35th anniversary in 2018, are presented. The section is devoted to studies of phytoplankton of the Kuibyshev reservoir in 1958-1974.
