Study the process of gas purification from hydrogen sulfide by physical absorption

This article discusses the advantage of the process "Selexol" for purification of gas from acidic components and compared with other absorbents. The "Selexol" process allows to extract from hydrocarbon gas an acid gas rich in hydrogen sulfide, which significantly improves the performance of the subsequent process of obtaining sulfur from this gas. For the same reason, the process "Selexol" is often used for cleaning of H2S gas intended for injection into the formation, when it is not required to remove its inert components.
