Studies on professional self-determination of modern high school students (review article)

Statement of the problem. The article analyzes research in the field of professional self-determination of modern high school students. Among the range of problems being studied, the insufficiency of practical methods that promote professional self-determination of high school students stands out, while one of the indicators of the effectiveness of education is the professional self-determination of students. The purpose of the article is to analyze, systematize and summarize research in the field of professional selfdetermination of modern high school students. Methodology (materials and methods). The research methodology consists of the analysis and synthesis of research works of foreign and Russian scientists recognized by the scientific community, as well as regulatory documents related to the professional self-determination of high school students. The research is theoretical in nature and dictates the methods used: analysis, synthesis, and systematization of scientific ideas. Research results. The article presents a theoretical analysis of approaches to the problem of professional self-determination of modern high school students. The study highlights the features of professional self-determination of modern high school students, which consist in the superficial attitude of high school students to the choice of profession, low motivation to study, unwillingness to think about the future, insufficient information about the world of professions. Conclusion. Based on the data obtained, it is concluded that when organizing work aimed at professional selfdetermination of high school students, it is necessary to take into account the needs of modern schoolchildren, as well as to build work aimed at professional self-determination purposefully, in accordance with a consistent work plan, taking into account factors affecting professional self-determination in the modern world.
