Studies of the effect of pigments on the color of plants

The article considers the process of the influence of pigments on the color of plants. The types of pigments in plant cells are presented and characterized. The most common pigments are the following: green pigments (chlorophylls), red and blue anthocyanins, yellow flavones, yellow - orange carotenoids, and dark melanins. The presented groups differ from each other in their chemical structure. The role of pigments for plants is characterized.
