Data sources and definition of the impact factor of scientific publications for publishing activity

The article describes the definition of the impact factor of the scientific journal, which is calculated on the basis of the data provided by the journal citation in the RSCI for the previous two years or five years. The quality of a scientific journal is very difficult to measure. It can represent an average assessment of experts in a particular field or field of science (for example, in the field of physical culture and sports), as well as the degree of prestige of publication in a particular journal.
